Title: Pirates Of Silicon Valley

I have got hold of the film Pirates Of Silicon Valley.
Apparently it is not the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Is there anything I need to know before I watch it?

I watched it earlier in the year.
It completely ignores Commodore, even though they were helping Apple, selling more computers than Apple and doing lots of other stuff that is important to computing history.
There is a computer show that is shown in the film. Byte magazine didn't even mention Apple in their report. They talked a lot about the PET though. Of course the film makes it look like Commodore didn't exist and that Apple was the main attraction...
Overall it was enjoyable if you ignore the revisionist history that is going on. It was fun seeing Anthony Michael Hall as Bill Gates.

I watched it and thought it was a good film if you don't believe the hype that is.
I thought Steve Balmer was very well played.
Watched Tron this week too, and Hackers.
Next weekend it'll be Wargames. I haven't seen that for years.
Any other films on a similar vein I should know about?

Sneakers
The Net
AntiTrust
The Wizzard - best ad Nintendo ever made
Not a film, but I would strongly reccomend the Masters of Doom book detailing the creation of ID Games, Doom and the relationship between Carmack and John Romero. Fantastic read.

After watching Tron and Wargames you'll be hankering for so much more!! Both are such great films! I especially love WarGames and the WOPR "supercomputer"! ;)

Isn't the net the one with sandra bullock?
If so I didn't like it. Mainly because she was in it.

Yes, the Net is crap. Sneakers is ok and Antitrust is pretty good. Wizzard is fantastic in a retro kitsch kind of way.
