As Chris has said on other forums, we are in the preliminary thought stage of our next event.. namely, Retro Ball 2.
Our venue of choice this time round is looking to be the Holte suite at Aston Villa FC (
http://www.avcb.co.uk/adobe/AVCB%20Main%20brochure.pdf).
To pull this off, we're gonna need some big sponsorships. Should anyone have any services or sponsorships to offer, please get in touch with either myself (
petebeverley@gmail.com), Chris/Boyo (
chris@retrofusion.co.uk) or Leigh/koopa42 (
koopa4242@hotmail.co.uk).
Thank you.

I know this is a severely long shot, but would there be any mileage in maybe getting Nintendo to jump on board??
I ask this simply because the Revolution is coming out next year, and with it's retro ideals, this would be a good springboard for both Ninty AND the Retro Ball...
thoughts...?

dunno how achievable this really is, but it's worth looking into... nice idea Turrican :D

Well, Chris does have the video footage and the pics. I'm sure a package could be made up to show them. Rossi does vid editing for a hobby so I'm sure he could do that for the cause too. Maybe base it from the fact that if a place as small as the Cricket Club can give out such an atmosphere, then the Villa suite would improve and build on it.
You could also try Codemasters with the whole Jon Hare/Sensi remake thing. :)
If I can think of any more ideas, I'll post 'em :D

I'm looking forward to it :D

Hi Paul,
Chris Millard from CGEUK was hosting the site and after the event took place the site was shut down - not very happy with this - all E-mails and contacts gone, no warning of the site being suspended, can't get hold of Chris to buy the domain so I can host it....
The site will come back, not sure when....

About the website....
The plan is to buy a new domain, and use the Digital Arcade hosting.
Rest assured, the site will be back up and running around the beginning of the new year.

Still trying to get hold of Chris..
If we were to hold RB2 at the same venue as RB1, would people be up for that.
My thinking at the moment is to have RB2 next September - how does that sound?
koopa42 - December 20, 2005 12:56 PM (GMT)
well i'm more than happy with that venue - and next summer is fine (as long as the world cup dates are avoided of course)

The CGE website has also been closed for the moment too and has a message with regards to the possibility of another show...

I'm more than happy with that venue. It's friendly, has a good bar, and is a decent size.
