Description: Just Arrived - plus a Christmas message

How strange life is sometimes ! The dogs dragged me up at 7am (which I normally do get up at anyway , but thought they might let me have an xmas lie in , nope!) , it had snowed again overnight , so I made a cup of coffee while they ran around like nutters in the snow outside. When they decided to come in , I thought oh well best force myself onto the net while drinking the coffee (well there is a business need - well thats what I tell my wife while reading games news 24/7 !!) anyway , as I was sitting reading some emails , about another potential great GBA we may be putting out , the postman plopped RetroGamer 20 through the front door. Did not hear him coming up the drive , and did not think he would make it through the snow , but I was quite surprised to see RG20 there anyway. I thought oh well force myself to have a quick flick through before jumping in the shower , (or my wife starts moaning , why are you on that damn computer at this time in the morning !!) . I flicked open a magazine page at random , and there staring at me was my name ! A short interview I did a while back and forgot all about (I have actually done quite a few recently , about all the new games , for mags and sites all over the world- despite a bit of 'bad press / jibes' from a few people in the retro community , I am actually (apart from trying to earn a living) doing a fair bit underwraps for retro and gaming in general) but that was a shock to see it there coming through my own front door , and really spooky to open it at random and see my own name ! Strange ! Let hope the coming year is going to me full of nice shocks like that also !!

The mag is good , the quality is good , in fact RG is good once more ! Long live RG and long live all the other retro projects as well. Hopefully a lot of the in-fighting seen over the past few months can now die down , we all have our own needs , and agenda's , thats human nature , and we all have our own bills to pay , thats the way it is. But we all also have a common love of games , and retro games , so I PERSONALLY want to say Happy Christmas to anyone I have not yet , and look forward to a great retro new year , with ALL of you , thats fans , retro game sellers , writers , players , everyone. The market is big enough for all , and there is no need for most of the back biting, we ALL have made some mistakes over the years , myself included , but lets see them as that mistakes , move on , and enjoy this retro community , which is spread out across the globe.

So Merry Xmas and a happy new year to you all.
Regards
Paul A
