Title: SID80's at Retro Ball 2006
boyo - January 11, 2006 12:07 PM (GMT)
Chaps, I am talking to madfiddler about the possibility of bringing SID80's to RB 2006. This would mean shelling out some cash to bring them together in Kenilworth which would mean an increase in ticket prices to cover the cost. Thus the poll...

Oh yes, would be great to see them again.

And it would be great to see your 'dancing' again Mermy.

It'd be superb to have some music going on whilst drinking/gaming all day long.
koopa42 - January 11, 2006 02:48 PM (GMT)
yeah that'd be cool - just make sure i'm drunk and plonked in front of SFII somewhere when it starts
Antiriad2097 - January 11, 2006 04:33 PM (GMT)
I'll pay an extra £2 for the DVD because I can't make it to the event.

Sounds like a great idea. Yes from me! :)
RS200 - January 13, 2006 02:41 PM (GMT)
oh YES Chris, would really be fantastic if you could get SID 80's to play ! .. I think it also would bring a lot more people to the event too - I'm sure a lot of people on the Remix 64 board and mailing lists would come.
good luck !
ross ....

Its a good idea but we don't want it to start being labelled a music event rather than a gaming event
djmassive - January 14, 2006 01:15 AM (GMT)
i think it could be a good addition to the event, but as i don't really get into the music side of the retro scene, i can't vote yay or nay.
saying that though, i really enjoying madfiddler and ben playing at CGE :)
Chris, can we talk about this at some point in MSN please?

You are joking, right???
Like that's gonna be hard, Koops... come on ;)
On the subject at hand though, deffo up for some tune action. Rasputin would get my vote.
BTW, seeing as how Rob Hubbard made it to the first one, why don't you try and get hime to do some tunes too... an acoustic version of One Man and His Droid....
...moist ;)

DonkeySpank - January 14, 2006 09:33 PM (GMT)

I think it would be an extra attraction to draw in the retro gaming music fans and provide a nice diversion from playing games all day. Its nice to take a break!
though is there any room in the cricket club to have them playing?! it was pretty much filled out unless you stuck them upstairs hidden away!
