Title: Relics rediscovered!
Description: Dun dun DUN.......

Check this, was sorting thru my old folders and found the original proof copies of a computer / entertainment fanzine I produced when I was 17 (11 years ago). Also there was the unreleased issue 2.

CDi stuff, Spectrum stuff and some seriously odd film reviews. A far cry from Sinfully Twisted magazine that I edit now

Might even scan and upload them to Purpleverse for a giggle.

Totally pointless post but it made me laugh. Damn I thought that magazine was so professional. Had Udo Kier on the cover (Blood for Dracula).

For the record, the mag was called "RELICS" and was on a kinda glossy photo copied paper. Only £1.80 as well.

As it's a rare beast, I'll Ebay it I think and start the bidding @ £1000

Any takers?

No poetry? Very good. Get it online for us then. Pretty please ;)

Poetry... Now theres something I've got to either kill or swallow. So many of my contributors write poetry but I must confess, hardly anyone I know actually likes it

Me thinks I'll end up doing off shoot publications for poetry.

Relics tho will be scanned shortly and uploaded for your viewing and laughing pleasure.

Just be gentle with it

Had a bit of poetry published myself actually.

Although there's some stuff I would never publish as it's too personal.

Well that's something to be thankful for...

Poetry can be good therapy, helping you cope with problems.

I've also written a lot of environmental/political poetry, which has been published.

When I first started Purpleverse.com, alot of the site WAS poetry. Over the years it's gone mainly fiction. It is a personal thing and not everyone can relate to the writers words.

Perhaps we can have a poetry thread on here?

An Ode to a Nimbus 380Z (coughs....)

Oh mighty metal keyboard
Oh mighty 8 inch drives
I've typed in 6 pages of input
Oh bastard processor don't die!
Your CP/M confuses me
Your cables are oh so thick
I thought you'd serve a purpose
In reality you can't do dick!

I thank you

Hehe, good stuff. I seem to remember a website where people put computer/gaming stuff in place of the actual lyrics, but I can't find it at the moment so I'll inform if i dig it up.

Edit: found: http://www.poppyfields.net/filks/

Stuff like http://www.poppyfields.net/filks/00327.html is great :D
