lol @ the direct corolation between lack of Real Retro and the lack of pointless question threads
Mantas - February 20, 2006 05:19 PM (GMT)
It does seem to have quietened down a bit. Ok a lot. Maybe it has something to do with all the feuds that were mentioned in a previous post. I don't know what is going on out there regarding people screwing each other over for fame, fortune and glory and I don't care either. I'm just here as a part of the retro community and want to learn about all the different consoles, games etc and chat about the thing I love most. I've enjoyed myself immensely on here (and the old RG forum) and had an excellent Friday night at CGEUK last year, meeting and greeting the forumers (formites?????) as well as BIT Live at St Luke’s. Those 2 events were absolutely brilliant and to me showed how we can all get along and share the passion for games – no strings attached, no hidden agendas, just reminiscing over a pint and having a good laugh. I’ve also had people here help me with all kinds of queries and hopefully I’ve done the same for them. I sincerely hope that the end is not near for this forum. Maybe retro gaming is heading back to the under ground (where it should be) so that only the retro heads that were there in the beginning will carry on.

Yikes. That must hurt. Or not if they're working...
:o
And if the forum slows down again may I suggest someone just mentions it again? Seems to work.
Or should we tell everyone about the hidden Non-Smurf forum?*
*Joke. J. O. K. E. Don't all have convulsions.
Mantas - February 27, 2006 03:33 PM (GMT)
Forgive me for being a bit dim but what is this whole Smurf business? I know its nothing to do with little blue beasties and I get the feeling that it has something to do with conflicts between the different forums/ shops but thats it.
Come on lads lets get a ruck going. THAT always livens up the forums.

Try taking some aspirin with that. Makes the effects of the Dihydrocodeine even better. Flattens you for a week. Learnt that one from a mate of mine in the RAF regiment.

Look, I wish everyone would just drop this "Smurf" thing.
You were right - it was about the rows/problems between retro forum members, but that's all in the past. Let it go. That means you too koopa.
And I DEFINITELY don't want another inter-forum ruck, OK?
Jumpman - February 27, 2006 04:13 PM (GMT)
Interesting. Those weren't the convulsions I expected. No more, I'll get into bother....

In the interests of harmony among our retro brethren ... all of us pulling together ... olive branch ... us against the world ... people on the streets ... if the kids are united we will never be divided ... all for one and one for all ... jumpers for goal posts ... buy one get one free... people on the streets ... never in the field of human conflict ... I have a dream ... love thy neighbour ... a bird in the hand ... people on the streets ... etc etc
