Well we are finishing off Issue 1 as we speak and it should be going to the printers on Monday and be in the shops some 2-3 weeks later.

So who is going to buy it then?

We are thinking about having a launch party for the magazine at the Birmingham flagship store of Gamestation.

I have asked the Oliver Brothers to come and one of them will definately make it, I will ask Archer Maclean and Jon Hare to come also. How does this sound?

There is a story to tell here, maybe I will tell people at the next event. Basically, Shaun burnt his bridges big time with me and the magazine....

Actually it was very considered, taking into account ALL the variables, many of which I fear you are not aware of, or perhaps VERY aware of, either way - I stand by my post

I'll be buying it, and depending when the Birmingham launch is schedule then I'll hopefully be along to that too!

Oh I'm well aware of much of what went on - it's just that, as an observer, I like to see it from both sides of the fence and sympathise with both parties.

Thats fair enough, what exactly are you sympathising with?

He put a lot of effort into R:B and it hasn't done very well. No matter what the circumstances surrounding its demise he must still be feeling bad about it. I know if Retro Survival had failed I would be down in the dumps and wouldn't want people taking the piss in public.

I was unaware that people who had paid in advance for RB1 had not had a refund , the money was not sent to us , the only money we have had from people was direct sales of the 'RB1 lite' direct off of download trader, so people got what they actually paid for there. We did not control the retro-bytes.co.uk web site. Only the dot com one which points at the RT forum.

I was hoping for RB2 lite version to have been finished , as we had paid for the artwork for both RB1 and RB2 lite , but it looks like this will not be done now either to be honest , dont know for sure.

A lot of people have put a lot of effort into various retro projects , but to be 100% honest rather than looking for scape goats , and witch hunts , I say lets all get behind Boyo , and help him make a success of Retro Fusion , and have a real indie retro mag out there but in the shops on the high street. So I urge every one to buy a copy ( or two even !)

I agree RetroTrader - Witch hunts and slanging matches are the only thing I get embarresed about in the retro gaming scene, It's such a shame.

There has been a lot of bickering in the retro scene of late, I am hoping that a magazine developed by the scene for the scene will calm things down somewhat....

A couple of days behind the original plan, all being well the PDF will be with the printers tomorrow.
