As the age, geographical location, and memory varies so widely amongst you fine folk, I am concerned that many people might not know what I'm talking about. Although someone mentioned something to me the other day that made me laugh so I thought I would share it with you.

It was a haircut. It was called the "undercut" and if your family have photographic evidence of you having this monstrosity, end them.

The undercut was basically when you had a centre parting in your hair but all the underneath hair was shaved really short so it was almost like a centre parting wig. It was dangerously popular in my school about 12 years ago and it just made me laugh how cool we all thought it was. Now after seeing pictures of myself with my shirt untucked and my massive, chunktastic, early 90's walkman blaring out Shaka Deemus and Plier - Twist and Shout, with this haircut I know can only hope that my future wife never meets my photo-collecting mum.

Just wanted to know if anyone had one or remembers kids with them???

Please don't tell me I was the only kid with one, I'll be distraught. It was so East 17 I'm nautious just thinking of it.

Yep, I remember a kid at school having that same style... didn't suit him.

Mind you, my favourite haircut of all time was this guy who wore a sort of goat-herder's hood, and the top of it was cut out and he had this huge round mass of hair sticking straight up through it. Mad.

do remember the "undercut" though !! .. never was brave enough to try one myself !.

I used to think undercuts were so cool. It was like being a secret thug. I was wrong of course. It was more like being a blatant tosser.

I wanted one but my hair is too wavy.

yep I had an undercut, also had a step one time and got sent home from school :o lets not even mention tram line LOL

Had mates who had undercuts, it was always the same people. I stuck with wedges and spikes. Until I started dyeing my hair random colours.

me had one .. had to have a side parting though to get round schhool regs... was a short back and sides, honest guv... but looked awful and was know as 'the bowl' round these here parts

Don't recall ever having a hair 'style' apart from a brief period when skinheads were accidentally in vogue and mine was like that already.

Buit then I was ahead of the leg warmer fashion too...
