I'm off on a tangent now... but I find Jon Culshaw fairly bemusing, in as much as at times he's hilarious but then at others dull as dishwater.

The first couple of series' of Dead Ringers on TV were quite funny, I enjoyed them. Then he got his own show on ITV; it was abysmal. I thought it was down to a change in writers perhaps, but was stunned to find out it was done by the same crowd.

I haven't watched the last 2 series of Dead Ringers as they seem to have either run out of steam or simply outstayed their welcome. I think steam because the old stuff stands up still, even the radio shows.

He was great on Commercial Breakdown although, ironically, he was involved in a sketch involving "Jo Brand's Career Breakdown" some years ago

It's interesting, I think he's better suited to a stand up style. The sketches a la Stella Street and early Ringers - Blunkett, Bush, Blair, Nigella, Jack Nicholson - were great, but it had a limited life I feel.

An impressionist, done a lot of work on radio, as well as TV's Dead Ringers, 2DTV and Jon Culshaw's Commercial Breakdown.

I think he's funny - stuff like the Tom Baker/Doctor Who skit at the health spa, where he persuades the receptionist there's a time vortex in one of the tanning booths, or stands in the middle of New York dressed as Ozzy Osbourne and puts on a really posh voice saying "Yes, it's all an act"
