Remember when you used to get a video to watch at
school with questions at the end??? You'd all sit around and the telly and watch a show and have to fill out an answer sheet at the end?

There was Badger watch, title still makes me laugh to this day.

There was some kind of fairground mystery thing with pikeys and a young girl trying to solve a mystery.

My favourite was something called Dark Towers which had kick as theme music and a really eerie plot.. (for an 8 yr old). Never did get to see the end of that though.....

Anyone else remeber these or other tv shows for schools??

There was Badger Girl, Geordie Racer and Sky Hunter that I can remember. Were they Look and Read stories?

OMG.

You know when you find something truly retro and someone helps you find an awesome website and that great feeling when good memories come flooding back? Just got it.

Freddy if I was a dog I would hump your leg. Good work and thank you.

I remember something called "SpyWatch". Can't properly remember what it was about, but I do remember there was this young girl who had to go and live with foster parents because of something to do with her Father that she doesn't know about. There was one episode where she had written a letter to her mother, and the girl's foster parent told her that she'd post it in the morning, but while she was walking down the stairs, she threw it on the fire. It got most of us thinking then, maybe the Girl's foster mother had something to do with it.....

Questions and quizzes would follow after each of the 10 episodes. I think each episode lasted for about 20-25 minutes. The theme tune to it was quite eerie aswell! Every Wednesday morning just before lunch, all year 3 and 4 pupils would gather in the Assembly Hall and then the Teachers would bring in the old TV and VCR and then play "SpyWatch" for us.

Didn't "Look and Read" have some part where a Giant Pencil would appear on a black screen and draw a letter of the alphabet and some guy would commentate on what the pencil was doing? 'Cos I remember having to watch that as well, they'd do one letter in each program. Rather irritating when I think of it now, but highly amusing when you're 5 years old!!
